An abandoned snow plow, an abandoned CTA bus, a shitload of stuck cars, and the Chicago skyline taken while standing on Lake Shore Drive.
Snow Day 2011 is the most fun I’ve had in a long time. Everyone one outside was like a kid. Big smiles were abundant, and people were sharing the cool stuff they had seen and where to find it with anyone who would listen. Adults of all ages and kids were climbing over snow hills, falling down, cross-country skiing, and just generally playing outside.
After this, Matthew and I walked back north on the empty south bound lanes of LSD, and then I rolled down a hill/embankment of snow (when you don’t have a sled with you, rolling is the next best thing) back toward my apartment.
This has been one of my favorite experiences since moving back to Chicago, but I’ll stop spamming everyone with my pictures now.
